Jackman hails from Australia and has won a Tony award for this debut in The Boy from Oz. Starting out in musical theatre and on stage, Hugh made the transition to television in Corelli (an Australian TV show where he would meet his future wife), and then into films like Paperback Hero and Someone Like You. Hugh’s also starred in films like X-men, A Steady Rain, Australia, and many other films. Jackman has also hosted the 81st Academy Awards in 2009. Accompanied by an 18 piece orchestra, performances will begin at the Broadhurst Theatre on October 25th, 2011.
